Does anyone know if there are limits for bringing back alcohol outside your personal exemption? Can I bring back 2 or 3 bottles and just pay the duty/taxes at the airport?
Absolutely you can. You just have to declare and be willing to pay the duties, IF they choose to make you pay them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ya just don’t make them auspicious you are doing something commercial with them but they will happily take your money.
People bring back cases all the time.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. I don’t have to worry about bringing a few bottles back from Kentucky
My friend used to work in Dominican Republic and he would bring back a case of rum several times per year. In Vancouver they would let him through without paying any duty about 80% of the time and when he did have to pay, it was still completely worth it.
This was not the case in Toronto, however. One time they sting him with so much duty that he might as well have bought the run in Canada. So that's something worth considering.
If the product sells in this country already, it's rarely worth bringing back yourself.
