Default Lots of cars running red lights downtown right now

I’m picking something up off Kijiji right now and people are driving erratically around me downtown. A group of minivans down 6ave all running lights and a Tacoma + Minivan going thru reds up 4St SW.

I have some shit video I’ll upload shortly. Totally bizarre. At least 6 cars have run several sets of lights.

Ive seen this since WFH started. Lots of cars stuck at lights forever because the signals are still set to normal traffic flow. So they've started running them.

You know those lights onto the road at like 3 am and you just pulled out of a neighborhood and it's near pitch black and the light seems to not even change for minutes? I run those all the time so I suspect the same feeling on empty streets. Maybe worth while to change some intersections to flashing reds.

Cops have the license plate number and encourage them to turn themselves in? Sounds like cops don’t have the plate number lol.

They have a blurry photo and are too lazy to try and figure it out.

Plate would only net them RO ticket. They're hoping the driver is stupid enough to turn themselves in for demerits, suspension, etc

Similar situation went public in lower mainland last year. Public got angry saying "Damn those Richmond drivers". Plates were reported. Turned out to be police vehicles doing surveillance.
