I like the M5, I took an M5 comp out for a rip last spring and thoroughly enjoyed it. Heavy AF though, that would take a while to get used to.
    Speaking of next gen M5....

Or you’re going to spend a lot of money collecting good older cars...

No talk about the M5 is complete without comparison with the RS7. If I was shopping that segment right now, to be honest, I'd be leaning towards the RS7 more than the M5 or E63.

Aftermarket is going to sell a lot of bumper swaps for these.

Reasonable people just wont buy them in the first place but I see a bit inventory of ugly M440i’s on lots at the end of the model year.

Maybe BMW will pull a Honda and yank it after 1 MY.

That is the one of the ugliest fucking "luxury cars" I've ever seen.

And I owned a Lexus with the Predator grill.

Hit a EV geofence zone, your BMW will neuter itself.

That's ok , there is still Corvette.

I dunno - I'm just not as interested in cars as I used to be. The McLaren forums have a long thread ongoing right now about how even supercars just aren't catching the attention of people like they used to. I think car transport as a hobby and interest will be on the decline rapidly now.

they are not as rare or exclusive as before.

And eventually it will be a sport/hobby like we view equestrian today.

I think this is their fault for blending classes FAR too closely together. It now takes a keen enthusiast's eye to spot an S-Class or even a Maybach from a C and a 3-Series from an M whereas they used to scream "LOOK AT ME!!!".
It's like they took "everyone loves a sleeper" much too far. I pulled up next to some preposterous BMW yesterday and I still don't know what the fuck it was. I think it said 850i or something??? Maybe that's like a Lambo big deal and maybe it's not. The problem is, I don't know - and that's wrong.

If it's a big deal car, it should carry its weight and be recognized as such. The Germans are failing at this.

Measuring the dick size of a bmw is easy, bigger the number the bigger your dick.

Unless it’s an SUV, in which case it’s an immediate indicator that your wife keeps your balls in her purse.

Sure, if you can see the badge. What I'm saying is looking from the front or side, they generally look too similar.

Base model 3 series BMW with M-Tech S-Line AMG lip kit or M3 Comp?

The nice bmws have always only been subtly discernible from the pleb ones. This is nothing new.

Enthusiasts, aka the ones who actually care what model it is, should generally be able to spot the differences. The watering down of the historic performance monikers such as M and AMG is a little annoying, but at the end of the day most girls are just going to see BMW or Mercedes anyways and your real M or AMG car will mainly attract like minded men.
