As bad as it may sound, this is the reason I didn't/don't support buying gift cards for establishments during this pandemic like so many people said we should do and help support business
It's a sad fact that if your company didn't/doesn't make it through this, gift cards wouldn't have helped

Agreed. In the same vein as you. I just support by buying their products instead.

You can watch the Hertz sale unfold here - https://www.hertzcarsales.com

FYI ~ speculation has it that the real deals will be the new cars they ordered from manufacturers but pushed them back to the dealers.

Will there be an auction for the Hertz fleet?

    Any idea where/when?

Want to buy a mustang/camero/charger and export it to Europe and they should be cheaper I'm assuming.

Ahhh just saw the post above mine, thanks for the link Tom-SC

I think the only Canadian Hertz that's selling their fleet is in Surrey BC.

Otherwise, Seattle would be the next option...

Their 'No-Haggle' price on the Rav4s are not exactly a fire sale or anything. Too bad, my FIL is looking for one...

CEO from Vermillion Energy just resigned yesterday. Not sure if that's a sign of pending bankruptcy...

You couldnt pay me enough to take on a rental with anything over 10k kms. The ones at 30-40k kms sound low but im sure most of those are hard miles

Its kind of funny because, being a car people forum, everyone hear views rentals as just abused and redlined and trashed because thats likely how they drive them. But every time I've been in a rental, whether family, friends, work or visiting people, everyone always drives like a fucking grandma because its not their car.

Wouldn't those vehicles be "driven properly" vs "babied"?

Not everyone drives a rental like a dick.

Also related, my mom bought a 2015 Grand Cherokee limited ex rental with 30,xxxkm on it, almost at 200,000 km now, no issues.

She paid $33,000 otd in 2016 for it and it came with extended warranty.

Dental Clinic Chain in Edmonton goes into receivership. Infinity Dental Group. Went here once for a cleaning, and some of their pricing was whack expensive, but yes they did have new state of the art equipment and a Mclaren in staff parking. 7 locations closed.

And here I thought dentists made bank

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I'm sure the dentists that own this chain are just fine, and that McLaren isn't going anywhere.

Why pay the bills out of your own pocket, when you can get a clean slate to start up another practice?

Most dentists are not great at business, but also their association fucked them pretty good with the covid limitations, and return to work limitations, and lack of access to PPE that’s been mandated

I went in to the dentist last weekend in Mount Royal. The Hygenist was basically in a haz-mat suit, didn't use the water-scaler thing and I barely got rinses to reduce as much aerosols as they could. That all said, it's manageable and I felt safe.

Dentists do make bank. But lets not kid ourselves, they're not Anesthesiologist baller level.
