Lucked out imo. I had a friend who had to call 4x and only got a 24month credit.

Of course AC doesn't wanna give refunds, bleeding cash, laying off 50% of work staff, they are waiting for a bailout too.

So how bankrupt is Hertz exactly?

Need a rental car in October and I have status with them. Not sure I feel comfortable handing over money to them in advance, but they seem to be operating normally still?

Where do you need it? Do you expect travel to be large at that time?

I suspect mandatory quarantine will still be in effect for most international travel so travel will be light and there will be lots of availability. IE do you need to book in advance?

Book with them, and don't prepay. Easy peasy.

    Halifax.

I never got far enough to see if prepaying was mandatory. Used to that so much these days for hotels and other travel.

    Good call.

Not really bankruptcy but Starbucks announced its closing 200 stores in Canada. That's 1 out of every 8 stores.

    No info on which ones.

This was already in the works I suspect, a noticeable number of them have already been shuttered in Vancouver this year prior to the CORVID.

The amount of shops Starbucks have and the proximity to each other has always bewildered me. Brentwood Mall, Marda Loop, Market Mall, Crowfoot Crossing just to name a few...

Probably a worthy update. Hertz seems to think there is market demand for its shares right now and are planning an offering to pay down indebtedness.

Sounds like a reach to me.

Apparently the offering needs a big asterisk staying the shares are likely to have no value in the near future

I feel like there are easier ways for investors to give lenders money.

Then count in the ones in Safeways that are directly across the street from an actual Starbucks
