That only works if you have a mail-order physique, I cannot buy jeans/shorts/dress shirts and jackets/shoes without trying on. Completely impossible unless it's something I've already tried on and know the exact item, there's no fucking way I am going to order/return/order/return/order/give up every time I want to buy something new.
But why not? It takes substantially less effort to unwrap packages and (maybe) pack them back up again (if the fit isn't good) and drop them back on your doorstep than it does to kill an afternoon at the mall. Plus you only have to do that a couple times before you know exactly which brands/sizes fit you.

I mean, if you like the idea of going to the mall, more power to you. That being said, it's not easier than online shopping, IMO (the only exception being if you need clothes today and can't wait for shipping).

    This!!
It's not even about physique. It's about preference of fit, texture, actual colour, etc etc.
I will not gamble on that. Direct replacements, only.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to JRSC00LUDE again
You aren't gambling on anything... you just send it back, usually for free.

I'm more particular than most people I know about what I wear, fit, feel, etc etc... that certainly doesn't preclude me from shopping online though. You guys are acting like it's mail order from the 90s. Make your choice, see what arrives in 30 days, and be stuck with it forever. It's 2020 ya'll, shit doesn't work that way anymore.

The only thing that I think makes a lot more sense in person is a tailor. Even if you do the remote MTM thing, it almost always results in someone needing to tweak it in person.

I buy clothes from the bay, but I find it less hassle to order online a few sizes and types and then go bavk with whatever didn't fit. Hunting through the racks of clothes to find the color in my size is really frustrating to me.

I guess each person has thier own triggers, but I don't find online clothing shopping bothersome at all, and I'm really picky.

Man, if I could I would but it is vastly easier and less time consuming to spend an afternoon going to stores than to need something and wait on back/forth delivery. I have a lifetime of athletics behind me which have given me a form that makes buying proper fitting clothes far more difficult than you think (beyond basic t-shirts or athletic wear). I can order Duer products that fit online now, which is a plus but even Lululemon and Under Armour changes their fit enough that what was perfect last year may not be this year.

You sure it’s lululemon changing their fit.

    Haha well played.

But for real, they actually did that. They changed their mens waist sizes couple years back (for their pants like ABC pant)... apparently the legacy sizes fit quite small (i.e. they make you feel fat because if you wear a 31 in other brands, you're a 32 in lulu), and they changed them to be more accurate. Bunch of dicks, I tell ya.

Was told AutosCanada is going tits up. They own 69 dealerships in Canada and a few in the states.

I wonder if the juggernaut called Go Auto could be in trouble. They swallowed, (and from many accounts, completely ruined), many many dealerships in Edmonton.

I have not researched if their spread stopped or continued south. I'll maybe check and edit.

EDIT: sounds like over 40 dealerships and they've spread South to Red Deer but also chosen to start buying dealerships in Ontario.

AutoCanada Inc. with symbol ACQ.TO? that's a big deal if they go belly up.

I first purchased that stock at $10 in the early 2000's as they were paying a 10% dividend. I rode it up to $20, didn't sell and then it cratered to 75 cents and I just forgot about it. A few years later I looked and it was at $70 or so. I didn't sell and rode it all the way back down to $10 where I ended up selling it. I see it's at $6 today so that makes me feel like a bit of a winner I suppose.

my cousin works for a few hotels in town here and they are in deep shit. compared to the same time last year, many are doing about 5% of the revenue which isn't even enough to cover any of their expenses. with stampede not happening either, many of them are not gonna make it.

This! I dont know the exact percentage that stampede is responsible for revenue wise but its gotta be major.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

    Conferences. Courses.

    All bad news.

But hey. Flatten that curve at literally any cost.

The tourism industry is decimated with the shutdown happening near the end of the ski season. Summer is out for international travel not that there is any activities anyway. The earliest turnaround is probably winter. That's not out of work for a month or two, that's a good part of a year.
