Remember seeing store front of the poke joint got broke into quite a few times. Not sure if its crack heads or owner forgot to pay protection money. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not cheap glass/window to be replaced.
I think I may have met up with you there to buy a spare show ticket many years ago haha. Or maybe it was FC? Either way agreed, definitely a shame to lose Hifi. Their management always had a keen eye for up and coming talent... they booked all the big names before they got bigThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
HiFi with a hot dog after. Those were the glory days.

Hopefully Hifi just comes back bigger and better. I have a kid now so it won’t be like it used to if it ever comes back but that’s ok.
Not as venerable, but the factory in the highlander hotel seems relevant.

This might be old news, but David's Tea is closing / has already closed most of their stores in Alberta.
The one on 17th Ave is gone.
I used to love that place - always such great service.
That is too bad. I can’t say I drank their tea often but it was always nice that it was available.

Isn't David's Tea mediocre grade tea with a bunch of artificial sweeteners in it? Service was always really good, which is impressive considering it was all high school girls running that place.

The Edo on 17th is about to open or is open(?)
Just saw the lights on and the tarp off as I passed by.
Anju is now Roy’s Korean Kitchen on Mission
Deville can now be the Higher Ground alternative
I don't think it had artifical sweetners, but possibily, it was expensive AF though..This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Anyways got this one as presents for relatives in Europe though.

A bailout, depending on the size will likely be $10 from my pocket as a tax payer....
$900 > $10
Bail out those mother f*ckers!
You're doing it wrong. Herr Justin only does what the West doesn't want. You need to be making cardboard signs and throwing bricks while chanting "BAIL THEM OUT! BAIL THEM OUT!!"This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
