Does anyone know if Jackie's Thai in Eau Claire is definitely permanently closed? Now there will be no reason at all to go to that mall haha.
I think a couple of rats did a drag race thru the restaurant forever turned me off about that place. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I know it happens, it's Chinatown after all but I don't want to see it.

Now I'm curious who will survive in the bbt quadrant, seeing as how there's at least three in that block.

i sent them an email in late august asking and they said they aren't permanently closed - just that they haven't re-opened yet. He said he was going to email me back when they are open but still haven't seen anything. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The only other reason i go into eau claire is for the caribbean/latino food store there... they have a really nice selection of imported hot sauces. If anyone is into hot sauces, it's worth a visit. Tapatio is the bomb dot com

whenever we go on a Friday bike ride to Chinatown my wife lines up in Gongcha where it looks to be a mix of various asians and white, I line up at Coco where there's mostly group of filipinos hanging out.
dont really care for Deer Alley, never been to Chatime or HiTea, there's also Bubble Waffle YYC there which I love their waffles.

No love for Yi Fang?
Supposedly the (another) popular chain from Taiwan, Xing Fu Tang will open at the new south T&T (October) and Harvest Hill T&T.
The COOP sold MEC under creditor protection to a company which specializes in bankruptcy restructuring. The reason they sold is that MEC was upside down about 100 million dollars and the creditors wanted to get paid. Not much choice in the matter no matter what you read in the news. There's a bunch of idiocy out there around petitions or whatnot which is a good example of a complete misunderstanding of what just went down. The membership has no say no matter what the numb nuts behind the petition tell you because it's a court ordered bankruptcy procedure...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
