As I install cabinets for a living, I do get to see some pretty amazing stuff in people's kitchens. Probably the most common built-in appliance I see or deal with are the high end coffee machines, some worth north of $5,000 and at that price they don't even have a water supply connnected up to them.
We also went shopping for a new refrigerator this past weekend as our 23+ year old one has decided that it's close to calling it a day. While at the appliance place, I happened to walk by a built-in rotisserie meant for one's kitchen - that I have not seen in any kitchen I've done and I wonder how much of a mess that thing would create around it.
I've also seen 7 foot tall wine coolers in kitchens, side by side Sub Zero refrigerators, each over 5 feet in width and a hood fan in one place that could push out 2,000 CFM.
What crazy stuff have you seen out there?
