Curry smells fabulous. It's the fricking microwaved parmesan that stinks.
Spice kitchen is a joke and a crazy marketing sham that’s taken off.
Get double wall ovens, a larger cooktop and an upgraded hood fan. And do your damn dishes.
Get a baller house that acts as a Skydome when you want to for maximum ventilation.
I would deep fry 3x a week
Because then it's not as easy to show off your kitchen when someone walks into your home. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Pretty much any house I've done cabinetry work in that has a spice kitchen is all about a showpiece open main floor. One place I did work in had 16 foot ceilings in the kitchen and they had cabinets all the way up to that 16 foot ceiling. Double thickness stone countertops, built-in open wine holders in the cabinets which are basically big dust accumulators. Some places had spice kitchens that put my kitchen to shame and the regular kitchen was stupid over the top. Upper level cabinets with fancy frosted glass doors, nothing's ever put in them as it's just about the appearances.
Some of these places, well if there was some appliance or doodad you could build into a kitchen then they had it - the 16 foot place had a countertop mounted liquid soap dispenser by the sink, that doodad was going to sit unused pretty much forever because the plastic bottle mounted in the cabinet underneath the countertop was such a bitch to get to to mount and dismount. Know this because I had to modify the cabinet after the countertops, sink and garburator were in to make that damn plastic bottle fit but it was a mighty fine looking soap dispenser.
One of the newer things I'm seeing a lot more off is instant hot water taps at the sink as well as a retractable water tap source over the cooktop. Built-in water coolers with cabinetry fronts are a thing in higher end homes as well.
Do you do countertops as well as cabinets?
I am not a contractor who supplies and installs. I just subcontract my services to cabinet companies. Getting into the supply and install game is just some I do not wish to do.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
In counter soap dispensers and cabinet paneled appliances are not what this thread should be about. Those are pretty normal.
Toaster drawer though, now we're talkin.
My aunt's house built in I think early 80s has a built in BBQ in the kitchen. Pretty cool, not sure of the details or how it's built but would be nice to have in the winter months.
I have a grill in my kitchen, great for leaner cuts of meatThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There’s nothing better than grilling a steak inside when it’s -40 outside
All these ballers and bbq nerds on here and no one has mentioned an indoor smoker with its own silent HVAC system? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My inlaws have the panels and they look amazing but they have had SO many nightmares with them. Changing the appliance means a whole new panel and they seem to take forever to get and when they did get them, they didnt fit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I MAKE BALLER CARS MORE BALLER.....
They should have hired better cabinet makers then. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Realistically, though, that should be a one (or no-)time issue. If you're buying good appliances (sub zero, miele, wolf, viking) they should last as long as the house. It's more likely you'll change your panel than your appliance.

I have a paneled Bosch dishwasher in my place, IKEA, nothing special.
I feel like panelling being a high end option was a 90’s thing.
These day’s if I’m buying a wolf or sub zero appliance I want everyone to see it lmao

It's definitely not a thing of the past, it's just more accessible now. Tons of expensive houses have it, the differentiation is what it's paneled with; is it matching your bespoke walnut cabinets, or your garbage ikea ones? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
