I really want the P1 instead but don't feel like changing out a bunch of stuff for a secondary computer. The P3 is going to look so naked so I might have to splurge on LEDs.

This is the VT20 with a riced out '90s euro antenna.

The only reason I don’t have more LED fans or a cooler is because Memex is out of stock.

    You cleaned out Memex. Nice.

I've swapped coolers many times, it's very easy and I've never damaged a CPU. There isn't really much to go wrong if you're gentle. Clean the old thermal paste off with 99% alcohol and a coffee filter (no lint). Apply the new paste (very thin, even layer) and tighten the new cooler down like you would a car tire - gradually and with opposite bolts. Watch someone do it on YouTube a few times to get your confidence up. The surface of your CPU's heat spreader and the contact plate on your cooler are not perfectly flat or uniform, even though they might appear to be, which is what the paste is for so you can maintain 100% contact for maximum thermal transfer. Paste degrades over time as well, so if your 3570K still has original paste it's probably not doing much these days.
Thanks again. Installed a coolermaster 212 yesterday. Peak temp dropped to 60 from 85. Increased the overclock to 4.5 ghz at 1.25v, need to stress test it, but 24 hours seems excessive..

post pic once done, curious to see how it is as I was also looking into the P3 case but it was a just too wide for my desk.
Great case with the worse assembly instructions ever. Other than that, the only other issue I ran into was that the interior 3.5" tool-less HDD tray doesn't fit my 8Tb Seagate Barracuda Pro. I don't really need the drive now anyway so I might as well put it up for sale if anyone wants it.

Yay ricer builds! Looking dope guys!

Been lurking this thread because theres been some good information in here. Like someone said earlier, AMD brings out the ricer/light boi builds. My old build from 8 years ago was an i7 3770K, and that was all hidden away with no lights and a basic black case. Then during this pandemic stuff, I went down the youtube rabbit hole of looking at clean builds and the world of RGB, and then I got the bug again.

Here are the two that I've build for myself in the last couple months:

The everyday surfing/youtube/editing one. This is the one I build trying to go as clean as possible after the YouTube black hole. Gave it a "Miami Vice" kinda theme. Still on the lookout for a small model white Ferarri and then I will buy a Tubbs & Crockett Funko Pop set and set them at the bottom of the case:

Then this is the 'fun' one, the Sim Rig/Gaming box in the den. Not done yet, still awaiting the full black cable extensions to clean up/remove the colored cables for the CPU, motherboard power, and GPU power:

Awesome, a 25C drop is a really great result so you probably did a perfect job with the install. The new paste/cooler will be a huge step up compared to old paste and a stock Intel cooler.

I personally don't stress test my OC's for 24hr either but some guys like to. Never had any issues.

Glad you got it all working the way you wanted

We are seeing some pretty serious supply side issues in the IC market and that is bleeding over into the consumer market. Probably not a great time to be trying to build your own computer at the moment. Lots of bizarre pricing due to supply contractions and you can see this especially if you start looking for motherboards. Currently the pre built side of things seems to be faring better as I assume they have better grasps on their supply chains. Not sure if things are going to be getting better in the next few months or worse. Time will tell...
Apparently it's now hitting the consumer side of things...
