Does anyone know of a shop able to service a rear shock on an 07 R6 in Calgary. Lots of dirt bike places but I can't find anyone doing street. Like to have oil changed and a new spring put on.

Cycle Works Foothills isn't far. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Servicing a rear shock is not street specific. Call up any shop that does bikes and ask if they can service the OEM shock on your R6. They rebuild forks/shocks all the time.
However, have you considered the cost of a new/used shock vs. repairing the OEM unit? Its not just replacing oil - if it leaked out on its own it means a rebuild.
Used shocks for that bike run about 120 CAD on ebay.

It's not leaking but it could probably use new oil. I'm changing the spring so I thought it would be a good idea for an oil change at the same time. I need someone to swap the spring off anyway. I don't have a spring compressor.

According to this thread, the R6 OEM rear shock is likely not serviceable, beyond a spring replacement (was not specific to a year though).

As far as replacing springs, RaceTech has a good setup calculator:

Getting the spring from Race Tech. There are lots of places in the states, Race Tech included, that service these shocks. I don't really want to ship it state side as I will loose most of the year waiting for shipping. Sucks being in Canada sometimes. Was hoping for local. Don't really want to spend a ton of $$$ on an aftermarket shock.

Your best off then to buy a used, OEM shock for 120 CAD, and then swap and ship off the unit to get rebuilt by the americans.
