What you are saying (in the COVID world) is bizarre as doesn't give you the option to even repair any damages?
Ie. If they determine you need a new windshield, you will be auto billed for it rather than having the opportunity to shop around locally for a suitable OEM replacement?
When I did this, the guy came by, did a big inspection, I went back and fourth with him on a few things, he takes tonnes of photos and two days later I got a report of what they saw, how much it costs to get fixed. I called them and negotiated on a few things. I have also heard that if you lease again they will work with you/overlook it. I ended up selling the car privately in the end to take avoid paying some of the 'damage', they were pretty strict.
End of the day, this is a Honda Canada problem and I would take it up through them. I can't imagine this would ever fly, but I would ask them to sign a waiver of responsibility when you drop the car off and that you will take dated photos from the drop off location.
