I probably wouldn't have let him leave without taking it all just because people today are like this it seems. Rather than say "I really don't want the trailer, can you sell it to someone else" excuses and ghosting.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I've been on kijiji for years and never had anything like this happen so its just an odd situation for me. Especially if they have paid for it. The trailer alone is probably worth a few hundred dollars or more, good for about a 16 ft aluminum boat. Lots of people were messaging me just to buy the trailer.

I figured that if I try to sell right away that it would be theft or something along that line, that is not my intention. I just don't know my options especially if the guy isn't responding. Yes its only been a week, but again, I've never had this happen before so I don't know what to do, hence this post.

Yes he signed a BOS for the trailer.

Its just taking up space on my parking pad, so not a huge issue to leave there for a bit, but really I don't want it sitting on my property if its not mine.

Just to give you a bit more info, when the guy came to buy the boat, he did say he was "friends" with some Mennonites and that's where he was intending to bring and store the boat and trailer on their colony. When he called, he said he couldn't text as his cellphone screen was broken but when I called him back recently, it went to voicemail and the VM message said "Hello, you have reached the (familly name) residence. Please leave a message". So clearly not his own personal cell phone which leads me to believe its a land line and he may actually be a Mennonite?

Really weird, still no response from this guy lol

If he replies back saying he doesn't want the trailer, I'll gladly sell it ...I'll let this go for a month I think.

Park it out on the street call bylaw about a detached trailer without a license plate that's been abandoned.

Then when they send you a bill/registered letter take bill of sale to them. Done.

This is the most legal way to deal with it. You sold the property. At this point its an abandoned vehicle.

That being said if he is on a Mennonite colony they can be slow. We sell stuff to the local hutterites and it can take weeks or more before they actually pickup (and pay) for orders.

Send registered mail to address on BoS stating a fair, market rental fee... when fees owed (plus reasonable fees for your time) equal value of trailer you can sell off to someone else to recover money owed
