I've been on the Telus network for 20 years. I've never had a quality issue. Just pricing (which is why I switched to Pubic Mobile)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Thanks for the quick reply. Time to switch over then. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yea, we learned to work around this after the first time we discovered it a few years ago. You have to set reminders to call them and let them know you don't owe any more money on the Tab. It should be illegal, but then I assume all our bills will be higher to make up for the "lost revenue".This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not a fan of the thought of switching, simply due to the number of phones on the account. They're all crooks, all we can do is choose the devil we know or the devil we don't. I paid out $1800 to leave Telus for Rogers back in the day, and saved that much monthly in the first 6 months of service. I assume I'd be in the same situation or worse due to the price of phones these days and the fact we always put them on the $15/mth tab.
Big phone companies are like the big banks as long as you are with one of them you are fine. Which ever one gives you the best deals.
I was on Rogers for about 16 years and recently switched to Telus only because of a deal that Rogers couldn't match. No difference in service in my experience. In fact Rogers was actually pretty good to me with matching deals throughout that entire time until the last one that they just couldn't match.
IMO all the big 3 are the same, just go with whoever has the best deal for your needs and don't overthink it. If you had a bad experience with x carrier and want to switch just out of principle to not give them any of your money then that's totally fair, but don't think that same experience can't/won't happen again on your new carrier.
I found going from Rogers to Telus got me way better coverage, even in downtown. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
A lot of this depends on your phone hardware as well. Some phones dont pickup the signals that penetrate buildings well on some networks, but will on others. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Never assume all phone have the same connectivity options.
Maybe check your bill and see if theres any notes on the give back option. With Telus they only gave me 2 options for the iphone 11, finance the full amount for 24 months or finance some for 24 months and then give it back. Hopefully there was some miscommunication when you signed because i would be pretty livid if they kept billing me for a phone that was paid for and not giving me a credit after i caught on. Me and my wife were both loyal to rogers for 15 plus years but they couldnt match what telus was willing to offer so we left
