What’s impressive is that middle aged men are feeling marginalized here, obviously there’s something wrong. How can you expect these same folks to appreciate the position of black community in US? Further, how would they ever appreciate difference vs coloured folks in Canada?

You could be right. I'm in neither the insurance industry nor the rioting industry.

That said, I'm sure that commercial policies can cover at least riots; I can't imagine a Target being completely trashed and set on fire with no recourse for the company.

Haven't bothered looking at the extent of what individual policies can cover.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Read your policy T&C carefully, especially the exclusion part. Riots/civil commotion is sometimes excluded.
