Default Need a new Wheel Set.

My road bike wheel has a tiny crack on the rear wheel.
I am thinking of replacing the wheels. Currently what I have is Fulcrum Racing 5. I am leaning towards DT Swiss (P1800) or a Easton.
I have no experience with either of the brand and I am wondering anyone here can shed some light on those two brands?
Also is there a online store I should be checking out for the wheels?

    TIA

DT Swiss and Easton are good brands. I'm sure you can find reviews on their products. I don't have any Easton stuff. I believe two sets of my wheels have DT Swiss hubs.
Chainreaction/Wiggle(more or less the same company), Merlin, Probikekit are good sites for cycling stuff.

Any idea of how the rear wheel got cracked? Pothole/curb? I'm a big fan of Fulcrum wheels and have never had an issue with any of the sets I've owned. I have over 20k on my Fulcrum Racing Quattros and they're still perfectly true. Only had to replace the bearings a couple times so far.

I have no idea. I am assuming that it must be from a pothole even though there are no other visible damages to the wheels. It was only discovered during a Tyre swap.

Yeah I kind of forget I have the ad on Pinkbike and then get a message asking about them. Still not sure if I want to sell them or not since I got such a good deal several years ago. Now they're a bit outdated because of the limited 10-speed cassette capabilities, and therefore not worth nearly as much.

    These ones btw

On topic however, I would be curious about what cheaper options are out there to replace the aging Shimano RS80's I have or if I should keep them as training/city riding wheels to get beat up without concern...

Recently switched from 23->25cc and a new Gatorskin tire for my rear wheel and the ride seemed a bit smoother. Or my ass saddle is starting to redevelop but I doubt it

The RS80 should be a great training wheelset as long as the brake track still has life in it. They tend to go out of true once that wears below the limit, apparently. If they're good I'd keep 'em.

I'll keep em then and not worry about the massive ruts on the paths, or having to take them down wood trails since some of the detours over by the Stony overpass/Bow River. Highway = carbon

    Thanks for the mention!

I am selling mine of your interested.. it is in an amazing condition. I am very open on negotiations, you might be surprised on the price I might agree on hehe

Otherwise, in my opinion, both brands are good but I might lean more towards DT Swiss if you ask me. Although, I usually look at reviews before moving forward.
