    Default Body shop recommendations?

I did a quick search and could only find threads from 2017 and older.

I'd love to get a civic hatch, but most have the rear 1/4's rusting.
I'm wondering if there's a decent shop out there that could reweld some new rear 1/4's and fix any other rust spots and repaint for a half decent price?

I used to use a couple shops but the one shop I went to is now out of business and the other shop switched owners.

Any recommendations for shops these days?

    Thanks!

    Screamin' Paintworks

At the very least call them and see what they can do. By far the best bodyshop experiences I've had are always at Screamin'. Quality of work and customer service are on another level and they are very reasonable.

    Maranellos.
They don't work on old Japanese cars unless they changed their policies.

I know a guy who’s had multiple ITRs worked on recently there?

Alright, maybe they changed then. They would not work on cars like that in the past.

I used them twice last year and once this year. Got my GF's car back from a hail damage repair 4 days ago. Perfect job as usual, and they even did a flawless paint match on a grey car which isn't easy. Also, her insurance car rental allowance ran out before the job was done, and Screamin' picked up the tab - I don't think many other shops would do that.

The guys there are just the best. They even fixed something for free on my GF's car as a thank-you for giving them some business during the COVID-related downturn. It seems like they go out of their way for you somehow every time you go there. Pretty sure their work is warrantied for life as well.

To my knowledge it's just the two brothers working there, so you don't have to worry about inexperienced workers dealing with your car or anything like that.

Give them a call and ask for Dan

I took my car there last year to see if they can do rust repair, the guys were straight up and said that whatever they do will only be a temporary solution so I do appreciate their honesty. They told me that we can discuss options and they were going to contact me. I know I reached out a few time and I didn’t hear back but that could just be because they were busy.

Maranellos does great work, but they're not the cheapest. And they tend to be kind of douchey if you aren't bringing a new/luxury car there (I've brought them old Japanese as well as something newer and nicer, and they treated me noticeably differently).

11/10 recommend screamin over maranellos if price is a factor (I've used both of them). The screamin guys did great work, awesome to deal wtih, and competetive pricing.

Speedy Collision North has done all my minor touch up work the last several years. Good work at decent prices.

Another vote for Screamin'. Did an amazing job repairing a bumper cut on my FRS with an excellent paint match on the area for a reasonable price.
