Stop Sign Ticket

Got a ticket in Alberta for "failure to obey a stop sign."

POINTS can help but it will cost +$300.00 and the fine is an additional $287.00. Going thru POINTS will allow me to NOT get any demerits, but they dont reaLLY do much.

Does anyone know if I can successfully represent myself, and, if so, HOW?

I would like to add something I found out about speeding tickets.

I know exactly how to never get demerits from a speeding ticket, if speeding was not too severe,that is. To be sure, contact POINTS first, ask a lot of questions about what they can, will do for you. You will realize your options from there.

WITHOUT using points.

Reperesent yourself.
Be respectful. (dont wear a hat and dont look like a bum)
Say you can't afford the demerits. (Be prepared to pay the fine)
Provide an accredited speedometer test. (This is the clincher) costs $50.00 or so. This is the loop-hole POINTS uses.

Result is you pay the fine and receive NO DEMERITS.

yeah, definatly do it yourself if you are confident.

Just use common-sense and don't be saying how the stupid pig had it in for you or come in reeking like pot or anything!
