Just a reminder for everyone that highwood pass gates are opening on June 15th. That means this weekend is your last chance to ride without any traffic. I'll be going to tackle the Climbduro segment (climbduro.com) this afternoon!

Trying to take the day off tomorrow to do it. Should be all clear now.
Thanks for reminder. Friend and I will be doing it tomorrow mid afternoon. I hope it doesn't take me that long as I struggle with biking this year compared to last year because I've been lazy since winter lol.
Watch the cat for different holiday hats!
Change of plan, it will be sunday morning for me. It's gonna be a party up there if the weather holds up.
It was pretty busy there on Thursday. No issues finding parking though. Probably 15 people on bikes at the gate, passed 20-30 on the way up, then 20-25 people at the top taking pictures. Almost no wind, so set a big PR on the climb's strava segment: https://www.strava.com/segments/703006
What's it like riding up there once it opens up? Is traffic bad or something?
You wont have issue doing it with traffic but it's not quite the same when there is none. Love it.
Right now there is still gravel on the shoulder so riding in the middle of the lane is smoother. Not sure if they clear the gravel when the gate opens, but I much prefer to descend in the car lane as you'll hit 70+km/h coming back down. Plus riding up in the company of cyclists only is pretty sweet.
