I got lucky getting one when they put up the original pre-orders after the announcement. Seems like Sony and Microsoft are focusing on the higher priced sku right now.

Anyone actually have one already? Seems to be more issues with PS5 than Series X currently.

Luckily mine only has a little coil whine. I'm not leaving it in standby mode currently so I don't get any issues related to that even though that's only supposed to be a Spiderman Remaster issue.

The haptic feedback controller is pretty cool with the Astro game. Too bad it will never be as good as the Xbox/Nintendo controller due to stick placement.

All the issues are with COD haha. COD crashes enough, the consoles brick themselves. I stopped playing COD till it's fixed.

Beware that some of these launch PS5's come with inferior cooling fans. After hearing all the reviews about how quiet the PS5 was I was surprised how much louder mine is compared to the Series X. It's not quite as loud as PS4 but it's certainly not quiet. Apparently Sony is shipping these things out with different fans. I thought maybe there was an issue with mine but it appears I just got a crappy one. If having a quiet console matters for you missing out on these launch units may not be the end of the world.

I don't think it's the fans. It's the coil whine and it varies system to system.

Ended up getting a PS5 bundle from Walmart.
Any one still looking for one it looks like Shoppers Drug Mart will have them in stock. It is first come first served basis. It is a hit and miss when it comes to which stores and what amount. Couple days ago most of the SDM's got them in stock ( What I was told is between 4 to 6 units each) in Calgary.

From what I hear shoppers recieves their shipments on Tuesdays. Avoid the smaller stores as some stores are designated differently. If they don't normally stock higher end electronics then they won't get the ps5.

Locally for now this is the best bet but staff are pissed at all the calls their getting. No other retailers are selling consoles that weren't pre ordered in advance.

I heard a rumor london drugs could be worth looking into soon.

Managed to get a standard edition on launch day from Amazon - arrived in two days. Currently wrapped and awaiting the fat man to 'deliver' it.
