Default Telus Customers - Free Prime

Looks like Telus is giving Optik customers free Prime membership. I don't really understand how to get it yet, perhaps I don't qualify.

Most articles say 4+ theme backs, I got like 6...but some other articles and Telus site says "4+ theme backs plus 1 premium pack". I should probably call them up and see if I qualify. Have no use for Prime myself, but will use it if it's free.

Sounds more like you can choose prime as one of your packs similar to crave.

Still pretty cool if you have more packs than toy know what to do with.

Does this give you access to the shipping perks of amazon prime or is it just prime video/prime music? Hopefully it’s the full thing, would love to stop paying amazon $80 per year separately if I can get it free from my Telus sub

I don’t think prime video is separable from full prime.

I think you can use your "premium" pack as prime or Netflix. I don't think you can use your "regular" theme packs for this. Not certain though, I should figure this out, since I have packs I don't use and I pay for both Amazon prime and netflix.

I use my “premium pack” as Netflix Premium (4K tier) which is usually 19 dollars a month.

I use one of my “regular” packs for crave which is much cheaper, closer to the price of prime. So I would say it’s feasible for this to replace a regular pack price wise.

    If it’s a premium only that’s a rip off.
