we had gas stove in our previous place and in our new place we have an electric stove.

I actually prefer the electric stove, easier to clean and maintain than gas and found it heat faster.

Buy a cheap induction only if you want to run the risk of having to replace control boards every 3-5 years.
pro-tip. Buy appliances at Ikea if you don't mind the look. 5 Year Warranty, manufactured by Whirlpool. I got an Ikea induction, touch controls, love it.

Yeah, the "stove and over in one" devices, that I guess are called a "slide-in range"

Costco has a 36" non-slide in for the same price. https://www.costco.ca/ancona-elite-3...100363741.html
Slide-ins get expensive because you are replacing the oven too.

The cook will also have to learn to stir with his utensils rather than toss the pan like they are cooking at Thai Express.
Found this out yesterday at Can appliances and that was a deal breaker for us, im constantly doing the Chef pan toss lol
Ended up getting a samsung Electric but when i got home last night i googled the reviews and its looking like i just bought a POS, the reviews are bad all over. I didnt pick it up yet so im going to exchange for something else or get the extended warranty, this only comes with 1 year. It looked really nice in store and it was on sale for $1600.00 and sure enough the fucking sale was ending last night but ive come to realize i got duped on the sale part because its on sale for $1600 everywhere lol

So you know that the actual glass top is the same for induction and electric...right? Your City Wok skills are going to mess up both equally.

This unit has nice reviews. https://www.trailappliances.com/wolf...l-ir304pe-s-ph I would buy it but its feet are too pointy.

I wasnt worried about messing the top up, the sales guy said each time you take the pan off the stove you lose the heat.
I'd be all over the wolf if they offered 96 month financing lol I dont know the cost on that one but a gas one starts @$8500 if i recall right.

Red knobs are wasted on an electric grill.

The same thing happens on a regular radiant top. Silly sales guy.
A Wolf is supposed to last 5x as long. Besides, you can pick up a matching SubZero fridge next year.
