    Default Pig spits/rotisserie units

Anyone on here have one? Looking for recommendations on either a kit or if anyone has pieced together a setup.

Seeing I can buy a decent motor on Amazon and would just have to sort out the rest as far as the legs, prongs, bar, etc.

There's a few straight outta China kits which don't have very good reviews in regards to quality/reliability.

I'm personally looking for something that can handle a 100 lb pig, kinda surprised there's not much of a market for these things.

I’m pretty sure tools to cook 100lb of anything is a pretty niche market lol. Try a restaurant supplier?

You need something called a Chinese Pig Roasting Box.
    La Caja.

I've eaten roasted pig from these twice and it's incredible.

It's pretty simple if you have a big backyard,

Probably some cinder blocks, a nice flat surface, and a really long spit

Yeah I'm not worried about the area for it but what's actually turning the spit.

This setup is $1k which is a bit steep but the motor is what is driving the price up as it alone is $500+ CAD - https://www.pigoutroasters.com/produ...oal-rotisserie

Opposite spectrum is the straight outta China special, which quality is meh and the motors are crap from what I've read - https://vevor.ca/products/large-gril...56kg-motor-kit

I see you can buy motors on amazon/other websites and piece together a kit of your own, was just wondering if anyone on here had done so or where they bought a full setup from.

But in all seriousness, you can design an automated version pretty easily.
