    Default Lawn Sprinkler system

I got a new compressor to use it to drainage the water in the sprinkler before closing for winter. Here i am attaching a picture of the sprinkler control manifold. Can some one let me know where do i connect the compressor to pump the water out from the system.
    Thanks

The main that goes to this tree should have a spout that you can connect the compressor into. You hook it up, turn the compressor on, and then manually turn on each zone by opening the valve on each branch. Make sure the shut off inside the house is closed as well (if you have a backflow preventor i don't know if there's anything you need to do with that).

Thanks mod. I do not see anything like you shown. I am sending you a picture of the outlet from the wall to the manifold. I can close the valve inside the house. Do i have to do anything in the manifold before connecting the compressor.

It is the picture i send you first. In the basement there is a valve to close the supply line to sprinkler. nothing else. What do you mean by manifold setup inside.
    Thanks

There should be a manifold inside your house where the main water comes in, distributes to the house, and heads outside to the underground sprinklers. My blow out connection is inside the house just after the shut off valve for the sprinklers.

Is the cap removable on that? If it is, what does it look like if you take it off (is it threaded for a hose)

This is what I did and blow out my sprinklers with my compressor. got all the parts at home depot.

You can do the same. Just close off the upstream feed and cycle through the zones.

Thats the same tool I made at HD. I assume you'll need one that fits inside that cap you took off.

Thanks. Do I have to do anything in the manifold I shown. I do have a compressor 3 Gallon with 5 cfm. Will it do the work. I am not worried about the time taken, as I have lot of time

^ Doesn't look like it. 3 Gallon should be fine, I use a 5 gallon and usually two pushes is good enough for each zone until it just shoots out some light mist. Just make sure the valve inside the house is closed.

Take this to home depot and find the parts to make yourself one of these https://www.amazon.ca/Winterize-Spri...3459467&sr=8-7 It's pretty easy, I cut an old garden hose to make mine. Or you may be able to make a direct connection for a compressor like the others posters did.

    youtube it.

You can manually open the zones. My experience is the manual screw strips out and you have to buy a whole new valve to fix the problem. So what I do is use the control inside the house now.

Can't comment compressor size. CFMs is what you need, not pressure.
