    Yeah, 4k on a laptop is rough, it sounds nice but many programs don't scale properly so the text/graphics are really tiny.

    It is probably a whole lot better than a lot of my work clients who have a 720 height laptop resolution. I don't know why the fuck engineering/fab shops give their drafters laptops with such low resolution. You can see shit and a lot of times a chunk of the ui is missing or off screen.

    Haha I know that all to real. We use toughbooks with 720 screens as our field laptops for programming ... fuck my life trying to read a giant string of ladder logic on a tiny as screen.

    Do you need openGL? What software are you using?
    Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.

    It’s been a while... but I remember (autodesk software suite especially) running like dog shit on multi core processors cause they didn’t multi thread, not sure if they’ve finally fixed that but a 4 core always worked better than a technically superior build on an 8 or 16
