Well, technically before the interwebs - people had to fly every weekend to Cabo San Lucas to have a little bit of fun and explore some bat caves. Now that no one can fly to Cabo, maybe the tech people were right. Tech right now is probably the only thing keeping people sane. If we build three pipelines to the USA does that mean that 10,000 people can fly to the moon to play three holes of golf, and bring back space cooties? Probably, but is that really what the majority of people want at this particular point in time?
As a stock: Ford did great for its time. In our time Google is king. What will be the future: Probably not oil.
