Just don't shake your baby or throw it against any hard surface.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

If your kid is big enough to be jumping into a pool they are big enough for you to let them hit the water without catching them. Fish em out if they don't bob back up, but let them land in the water first.

Well, that part is up to the parents. Not before they can reliably walk would be my guideline.

Its the age when they can stand on the edge and you say “ok, jump!”, then they jump.

My kids jumped off the edge at Basin Head last year without any hesitation and we were super proud of them. Fuck, that place is awesome!

Anyone here have 4 kids? We are at 3 now..
    *raises hand*

FWIW, we felt the transition from 2-3 was more of a shock than from 3-4, and I know others that have felt the same.

Going from man-to-man to zone is a big mental shift. That's what I've heard.

I've also heard that. I work with someone who has 5 kids and when I said it seemed like a small army, he just laughed and said there's no difference after 3, you just have to find a place to put them all. Granted he probably has a 7 figure income, so his perspective is not quite the same as that of the poors.

At what point do your nanny costs become variable and not fixed?

I gotta say, my son (unprompted) saying "Happy Father's Day" about a half dozen times yesterday, and "I love you" about the same amount, it certainly makes a guy feel good and that he's done at least something right...

For sure, and depending on their age, making art projects at school listing the things they love about you. It’s amazing the small events and activities you can take for granted as a parent that become life long favourite memories for your little ones. Try to remember, they hear, see and remember everything you do.

Depends how much your paying the nanny, and how much you expect to pay your future ex-wife.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.
