    Default Calgary Roads

What is happening to Calgary roads, is it just me or has Calgary stopped maintaining their roads.

They seem to be going to shit, everywhere.

It's annoying. There have been times I thought I was gonna blow a tire going over some of these potholes.

It's a real life autocross. So much fun.

But yea, things are being fixed but at a really slow pace. Dunno how they're prioritizing, they fixed all the small holes on the left lane of SB Nose Hill Drive right before Crowchild, yet they left the hole in the right turn lane onto EB Crowchild right after. That pothole is at least 3 ft long and 1 ft wide. More like a sinkhole haha.

In case you guys haven't noticed, the city/province is kind of broke. Infrastructure maintenance will be as awesome as the Klein years, but likely last much longer.

Broke enough to stop road maintenance, but not broke enough to lay off any paper pushers. Wonder how they prioritize

Did you move to Calgary somewhat recently? Calgary roads have been absolute garbage since they day I started driving over 20 years ago. I have bent several rims over the years, I think the only difference later in life is I have learned my lessons and now find myself constantly watching for potholes as a priority.

Yeah man, it's lie slalom with pot holes. If you're not paying attention, watch out!

Are you sure? Cause we just approved a $5.5B train line, so we must be swimming in cash.

The benefit of masks is not known at this time. But we do know it is some non-trivial amount more than zero.

We also know that the cost of mask use is, essentially, zero.

So the cost:benefit of mask use is approaching infinity. I'll take that every time. And every time I see someone without a mask, I think they are stupid.

We had one of the worst freeze/thaw cycles this winter in the last 15 years that I can recall. I had a 2ft ice cone (not icicle) forming by the downspouts where it used to leak by our tree. Never seen this before.

The roads took an absolute beating.

We are phasing out petroleum related product with environmentally friendly alternative for paving. From now on whenever you see a rabbit or gopher, speed up and try to aim for the pothole.

COC "repaired" Discovery Ridge Blvd this week (the only road in and out of the community) .......could have hired from cash corner and they would have done a 10x better job

It really is getting ridiculous in Aspenish area....the north bound right lane from Bow Trail to Old Banff isn't passable
