    Default NAFTA died.

US pulled out, started a new one called USMCA - which no doubt favours the USA.

Haven't read it yet though. Probably has an anti-China clause though (no doing business with anyone that buys from China) as a penalty tariff, as a guess.

No idea if this is true or not, but I will agree with the 30,000 different ridiculously complex parts that are sourced from all corners of the planet.

Seems pretty accurate for a ZenOps post!

Seems there’s pros and cons to the new deal

The car example is very focused though and doesn’t touch on other points
I’d like to see the cost of food come down but that doesn’t appear it will occur

I don't know about having US eggs and dairy though. Radioactive milk was a big concern back in the day, you can't set off that many nukes in Nevada and not have some fallout. Besides the fact that the US has little worries about hormones.

Did the USA really lose out on Auto? I mean sure, they lost a shit ton of jobs - but realistically lets assume that China will be producing electric cars. Wouldn't you want to ramp down production of stupendously overpriced and complex combustion engine cars before they were put in the museum to rot away?

Its like saying the day before they mass produce the airplane - "damn we sure got screwed on that deal that made us fire all those horsewhip and buggy workers".

Did Canada get out ahead on NAFTA? Probably, just for the idea that Canadians never really said "OMG, worst deal ever, sucks so bad, killing us with daggers from the sky" Lumber? Yeah, we definitely won that if you ask me.
