Default Slant nose Porsche - Advice

So my father in law has finally decided to retire and with that he is getting rid of his cars.

He has asked me if I wanted to buy one of his older Porsche’s because he would rather keep it in the family.

Does anyone have any idea on these cars?

I’d buy it. Those cars are awesome.

Since your question was pretty general, this might be of interest for you.

Looking at that interior... is it a real slant nose? Start there...

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

When I was a kid, my brother loved the 911, and just to be a jerk, I always said I liked the slant-nose kind better. Turns out, I kinda talked myself into it, and I feel weird about it. 10/10 buy this car. Such a perfect time capsule of the feelings of my childhood, and I want a ride.

Is that something you can use the VIN to check?

    "Miami Edition"

I like the slantnose as well, but custom work on this one turns me off it a bit and it also decreases desirability quite a bit on the open market . If i were you i'd buy it and restore it to its OEM glory since that is what a car like this deserves.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Yep. Very very cool car, but that interior has to go. Not just because its ugly, but the devalue alone is hurtful.

They are lovely, and if that is the real turbo, high value! For me, prefer the normal look, and stock interior...

But it was popular to do the conversion in the 80's and 90's !

This....that car as it sits just screams shoulder pads and cocaine...would make it more valuable if an A-ha cassette was stuck in the deck with "Take On Me" on repeat
