Does anyone know how sharing it would work? Could we choose to give our "WiFi" passwords to everyone on the campsite and they could all use it? What's the range like? Will it reach my neighboring cabin?

The included router isn’t particularly powerful. To share our connection I had to upgrade to an aftermarket mesh system. It’s easy enough to put the Starlink hardware in bridge mode and use any router you like.

Took me a while but here is our speed test results. We have the first generation round Dishy which is supposedly more powerful. @birdman86



Also for wifi you really want to ditch the included router, its pretty weak, buy a Ubiquiti AP6 Long Range and you should get some real decent coverage.

There was a massive sale for $299 for the hardware for the roam package.
Likely to come around again.

You could theoretically give the password to multiple people but you'd reduce the bandwidth.
One of my field techs had three people connected to their system on a wellsite last week to complete some programming.
Anecdotal but I've personally found if you're ~50-75' from the router your service drops pretty dramatically.

Their website explains this terribly.
"Roam" is a plan, not a hardware package. The standard hardware that's currently on sale for only $199 can be put on the Roam Plan. It's the mobile / "I need internet in a moving car" thing that requires different hardware.
