Wait wait. Do I understand the articles right?

So knowing this choice will cause this uproar.

He doesn't go to the meeting and recuse himself like he should. Nor remind Morneau of his same obligation to do so.

He actually stays and participates knowing it's a clusterfuck of conflict of interest issues. And allows someone he also knows is extremely iin conflict of interest to also stay.

So he knows it's awful, rather than say so recuse himself like he should. Ensure others he knows need to not be involved - do the same.

They all stay knowing the shitstorm that's about to be unleashed?

Trudeau: "I told them to make sure all of the i's were dotted and t's were crossed, but should have recused myself instead."

Okay. Then where is the assessment of other organizations and justification for the sole source, explanation as to why a shell foundation with no assets signed the contract, explanation as to why a charity that was already letting go of staff was selected if they needed to re-hire people to execute the program, and had obvious governance issues given the resignation of the majority of the board earlier in the year? Oh yea, and all that pesky conflict of interest stuff. Seems like a lot of undotted i's and uncrossed t's to me...

In the end, all this was a frank discussion - some verbal jabs, but in the end nothing of significance will happen with this event - just like the Epstein affair.

More like just with Aga Kahn and SNC-Lavalin affair.

Trudeau was to young for the Lolita Express. If anything, he was the little school boy on the island.

Yea I was going to mention that, unless the back doors are open (with boxes going in from the suite) - this means fuck all.

Still not fully buying into the U-Haul dropoff is there a full km from the location. You can see the parking signs.

I'd be much less surprised if it was a shredding company

According to google maps, its 40 meters, or a 1 minute walk. If you check the reviews about that Uhaul location, its people complaining that it has no parking lot and they were being told to park on the street.

The we-we bros probably get a tax deduction paying for the hourly parking outside their real estate empire.

Stephen McNeil stepping down, likely fed up with the ongoing covid mess and liberal scandals and knowing he's on a sinking ship... But I wouldn't doubt he has his own scandals and wants to hit the trail before it catches up with him.

Charity watchdog tells MPs its research raised red flags over WE

Greg Thomson, director of research at Charity Intelligence, told MPs that it dropped its rating of WE Charity after it looked closer at whether the organization was making the difference it intended.
Thomson said his organization's research raised a number of red flags, including that WE Charity has breached a financial covenant on millions of dollars in bank debt. He also raised questions about the fact that Craig and Marc Kielburger are listed as co-founders of the organization — not directors — which allows them to avoid fiduciary responsibility and disclosure requirements.
"WE Charity is an outlier. Normal metrics for assessing charities do not adequately reflect its suitability for donors," said Thomson. "It is not similar to the vast majority of Canadian charities."
