Finding it hard to believe this hasn't come up in here.
I thought about posting it but then I realized that people are morons and nothing will change.

These entitled pricks will keep sharing tax-payer dollars with their families and friends and campaign financiers and the average Canadian moron will keep voting for the handouts offered to them even though they indirectly pay for them through taxes off their own paycheques.

Following Canadian politics is like swallowing polonium-210.

I would buy Pierre Poilievre a beer or even a damn bottle of Hibiki 21 if I ever met him though: https://youtu.be/H2JN3EmxQtw

Employment programs for students have been a cornerstone of the Trudeau government.
This is a super weird hybrid that ends up being paid work, but at less than minimum wage. It's kind of a bad look.

Now, there are some madmen who would say that it's not the governments role to directly employ workers when they could be employed by a strong and unemcubered private sector.

As my man Pierre rightly points out, the Canada Summer Jobs program already exists. Seems like it would have already extended to charities though perhaps not for completely voluntary work which, if paid, would inherently make it not volunteer work to begin with.

Okay now this rings a bell. This is the program you can't take advantage of unless your views align with our King Trudeau. Some religious groups were denied access to the program due to their stance on abortion and sexuality. I don't care who gets funded, but I'm imagining a form that says "name, address, type of business, views on abortion, phone number, postal code" which doesn't quite align with free speech and all.

I'm pretty sure some students needs help but anecdotal evidence that some student I know worked like 100hrs total in May and June then got let go and qualifies for CERB. Easiest money ever.

So giving students more $ has questionable impact. I bet PS5 is going to sell really well this Christmas.

2 ethics violation convictions and people still voted for him and his bs in droves.

No one cares, nothing will change.

Liberal Party of Canada standard operating procedure.

I like how the cbc narrative is how he is "sorry" for not recusing him from the cabinet discussion. Ummm... wtf...

How about he is "sorry" for getting caught stealing taxpayer money via his mum. Several hundred k worth. Ffs.

I'll never understand how the left so severely punishes people who have done things that are racist and they let him off the hook scot free after doing it 3 times.

Or how a senator paying back expenses made the news for 6 months but trudeaus dozen ethics violations dont matter.

Hint: They don’t actually have any true values they just bandwagon on to whatever benefits them the most in the moment.

Perhaps. I'm not very knowledgeable about them, just that they can be on the ballot now.

While the brothers take a small salary each year, they sure built up a grand real estate empire for their "charity".

I can't believe it doesn't grind Canadians more that a "charity" paid the Prime Minister's mother at least $312k over less than 5 years indirectly with their tax-dollars.

Why is she worth paying $11k+ per event to listen to? Because she married a country-destroyer and gave birth to a drama teacher? I'm sure she's not a bad woman but c'mon... pretty sure that $312k would have much better served the public by hiring 2 case-workers or literally doing anything else that's charitable. Liberal campaign ads and events ≠ charity.

Seems to me the WE / ME organization will have a lot of dirty laundry. Seems like it's just a way for them to slush funds back and forth between the organizations.

    https://www.charityintelligence.ca/c.../82-we-charity

WE Charity buys promotional goods and travel services from ME to WE. In F2019 WE Charity paid ME to WE $3.6m for travel, leadership training services, and promotional goods. In F2019, ME to WE contributed $4.4m to WE Charity in donated time and services and cash. ME to WE is also a corporate partner of WE Days.

Charity Intelligence has given WE Charity a Fair impact rating based on demonstrated impact per dollar spent. (Fair is below average).

The fact their BOD is completely new and one guy resigned in June is not a good look either: "DONOR ADVISORY: WE Charity has a nearly completely new board. Six of last year’s directors were replaced with four new directors, with Greg Rogers as the new board chair. In June 2020, one new director resigned." Seems these Directors could make some very impressive witnesses if forced to testify under oath.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/we-...deau-1.5635379

Seems as though the government wasn't able to hold debate over COVID since they were busy orchestrating some sleazy deals in the shadows.

A vote for the Liberals is a vote for a special twist of corruption and generalized incompetence. I guess the benefit is on any given day you can choose which side of the ice cream cone you want to eat from.
