Chrysler still owes everything they have today to Lee Iacocca. Not only did he save the brand in the early 80's, he purchased American Motors which is a major turning point in the history of the brand as without Jeep they don't exist today. I don't understand the Jeep phenomena myself but the urban cowboys feel the need to advertise the wannabe outdoorsy lifestyle. Nothing wrong with that by the way as whatever makes you happy but I like my vehicles to actually drive nice so they just don't appeal to me.
