Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
Doesn't Calgary have one of the highest downtown parking rates? Sorta makes sense.
Personally I love them, so easy to ride to the pub or a friends house and not have to worry about drinking and leaving a car somewhere. Easy to just uber home after or crash somewhere.
Wasn't the city reviewing the scooter pilot project? Any word if they'll continue it?
They should reduce the speeds in certain regions of the core. 25kph down to 15kph perhaps.
Although I felt comfortable enough to 'open up' in certain locations, it certainly wasn't OK on busy sidewalks - and I saw more than one dunce zoom past people at close range at max speed.
If you want to feel speed without a helmet, at least do it during a time and place where people are not around.
When not in the middle of a global pandemic I was a big scooter fan. To the point where I would book meetings or lunches on the opposite end of downtown specifically so I could scooter there. I hope they stick around otherwise I'll be buying my own and hitting sweet jumps with it.
