Open to suggestions. Previous was $65 for Fibre150 and $40 for Telus TV 4+1 theme packs = $105+gst.
How is anyone getting this deal? I phoned in a couple hours ago, talked to retentions, because my contract is up in a couple months. Right now I'm $145 for phone, TV 4+1, and Fiber 150. I mentioned this deal, was told that it's not on a Telus website, so it doesn't exist. Told him there's no contract talk allowed on the Telus Forum, he said "That's right." Then he said the best he could do for me was the same package at $170 a month. Going for one more try before I tell them to F off.

You cancel for the end of the month, then wait a week for the real retention's dept to call you.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

    Thanks.

Did that, called to cancel. Transferred to retentions, explained why, boom! New price.

I just signed with Telus for Fibre 300 (300 up/down) bundled with Pik TV for $80 plus a $200 one time credit. I'll be dropping the Pik TV package (reg $10/mo) during the 'free' trial 30 day period which then drops the monthly rate to $70, and with the credit factored in, works out to $62/month for the 2-year term. I got an offer from a Telus rep on Redflag deals but had the rep at Southcentre to basically match it.

My Telus rep seems really hung up on giving me a 6 month term. Argument in progress.

Man. Have I mentioned I hate the stupid games you have to play?
Got to $107/mo +tax =$112 for fibre 150 and 4+1TV. Absolutely could not get a longer term than 12 months. No idea why that was such a sticking point. Only way to get to 2 years was by taking Telus security and internet 300 for an extra ~$23/mo. But fuck that. I hate security.

First moron I talked to said I could get $150 for 6 months, or 2 years for $170. Absolutely would not move. Hence my post above. Called to cancel a couple hours later, new price for home phone, Fiber 150 and TV 4+1 was $120, without talking to retentions. Stupid games indeed.

I guess it has been forgotten over time, but, remember, I do have some inside tracks for getting people that want to switch to come into TELUS with a LOT less hassle, and for those of you already with TELUS and need help either with technical support or with contracts/renewals I also have direct access to groups that help with that. So, don't be afraid to reach out.

I am up for renewal too with Shaw. For 2 years I paid around $106 for internet 300 and Total TV. Bill jumps to like $200 now after contract has ended as of the other day. I'll be on phone with them this week, play the old games etc and will update with what I managed to get.

I didn't have to play any games with Shaw this time around but I renewed a month before my plan expired in November. Had a same plan + crave for $120. I renewed over online chat. They're slow as shit over chat but still seemed less annoying than being on the phone with them. They offered me the same plan for another 2 years but increased the monthly bill by $5

@spikerS you got any hookups for Telus home renewals?

My promo plan discounts just expired and I was hoping to lock in another 24 months at hopefully a decent deal?

I might... I can get our internal team to give you a holler, I just need your details. I don't think I have them anymore.

I just renewed Fibre+300 and Total TV + Wifi Pod Rental= $125/month. But once I return the pod, it'll go down to $115/month. I was paying $120 before renewal. Oddly, they wouldnt match my previous contract @ $120 but let me do the Wifi Pod and return to get $115... weirdness.

As a starting point, brand new contracts for Fibre300 and Total TV is $150/month.

I have two accounts with Telus and called them to remove TV from my parents account as they don't watch it anymore, and to remove TV from mine as well. Got sent to retentions and got the following:

    Account 1 Before - $137 for 750Mbps internet + You-Pick-6 TV bundle
Account 1 After - $110 for 1Gbps internet + You-Pick-6 TV bundle + Doorbell camera and a couple of smart plugs (was some bundle, didn't really need but took it. Also had them remove my old ONT and provide me an SFP based fiber connection with a new modem. So far works great. Also got $200 one time credit

    Account 2 Before - $118 for 75Mbps internet + You-Pick-6 TV bundle
Account 2 After - $65 for 75Mbps internet + You-Pick-2 TV bundle. Mom watches only a few select channels and my dad just watches the Weather Channel and Youtube, so with the downgrade on TV they are able to maintain the channels they actually watch and get internet that's fast enough for their needs.

Both of these are unlimited bandwidth and a 2 year term

Woof. That's a good value for the 750Mbps. My building is going to be upgraded to Fibre in the coming months so I'd be curious to see if I could get the same sort of deal. I have been with TELUS since 2013.

Had a surveyor running around the street today… asked him what’s up, finally getting fibre over here! Currently on shaw… is it worth switching for those on Telus? We gave Telus copper a try, it sucked
