Woo hoo, long live the existing Fits on the road.
Take extra care of them, fellow Fit owners.
@Chantastic : Your KSwap Fit in Blue Raspberry Metallic just got rare. Hope you hold onto that gem for a while!

The Fit drives way better and feels quicker (probably is) then the HRV.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But when the wife wants AWD and ground clearance its HRV>Fit.

ok i googled it for two seconds and the hrv does have more ground clearance than a fit.. the HRV has about the same amount as a corolla lol

How long before my 6-6 is a collectors item??????
2011 Ram 1500 QC Sport
2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited
The HR-V is basically a less useful and less fun Fit, but it looks more like an SUV and has pseudo-AWD so I think a lot of people are just opting for that instead because most buyers in that price point don't care about performance/fun to drive anyway. Starting price for the HR-V is over $8,000 higher than the Fit and Honda's cost to build it probably barely any different than the Fit, so it's not too surprising they would rather sell HR-Vs. The Fit sales numbers are still very strong alongside the HR-V, but I can see why they might want to push all those people towards the HR-V with their margin being (presumably) way higher.

That's completely separate. The EU fuel economy mandates are impossible to achieve with ICE even with the most efficient cars, hence the shift towards electrification and hybrids. Car vs SUV is consumer/demand driven shift. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'm not a fan of this generation Civic styling but I feel the Civic Si coupe looked cleaner than all other Civic variants. Not really surprising that it's being axed as coupes are a hard sell these days. As for the Fit it's just a bad time for subcompact cars as entry level buyers are flocking to CUV's in droves.
You can have a coupe or a wife, almost never both.
So my girlfriends 6MT Fit EX-L just got desirable?
Best trim and latest generation Fit with manual? Yup. Good work. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Hope she keeps it for a while as it will hold its value pretty well, especially if mileage isn't too high years down the road.
Yep pretty much. Ive been looking on Kijji for a while for that spec and its hard to come by at a decent price. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
and to think we were gonna sell it soon...
I wonder if they will can the CTR, too. They sell well but I think they only bring a few thousand to NA each year.
Rumor is CTR will live on and built in US. For some strange reason, there is all of sudden an urge to push toward 400HP in this segment. Next CTR may adopt the tech in NSX to have electric motors to drive the rears according to latest rumor (which make sense if NSX is not selling well and Honda has contract with OEMs). WRX (I assume STI trim) is also pushing close to 400HP.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can't see that happening. That NSX electric motor is an expensive twin motor setup up front, and a motor in between engine and transmission setup just like everything else hybrid out there these days. Neither would be ideal for a Civic's price range. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I saw those rumors too, I'll be very surprised if they actually do that unless they raise the MSRP significantly which I am not sure is something they want to do. Would be cool though. They also take so much pride in their FWD performance that I can't see them going AWD, but I would welcome it. Hopefully they throw in a DCT while they're at it haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
