Default Rubber mats for whole car and trunk?

What’s the recommended brand for 3rd party rubber mats for your car?

The Infiniti we are buying only comes with the fabric mats which we have never used on any of our vehicles.

Best I have found are the Phantom mats from Costco (they are re-branded Tuxmats). They cover a lot more than the most expensive laser scanned Weather Techs, at least for the vehicles I have checked. They even have pieces to anchor them under your trim. Super cheap too at $199.

I don't think they have a trunk liner though, may have to go to Weather Tech or the dealer for that one.

If you're buying new, can dealership throw them in?

Otherwise, WeatherTech seems to be the go-to from what I've read. They are laser scanned and cut with accuracy and should suit your needs.

If you're looking for laser scanned mats, WeatherTech is the most popular but from what I've read Max Liner, Smart Liners, and Husky Liners can potentially be better solutions. I say "potentially" because it really depends on the car you have cause some models' mats may be better cut than others. I've read that Max Liners and Husky Liners are sometimes thicker than WeatherTech, but again, depends on the car they're going into.

3D Maxpider is on sale on costco.ca. Similar to weathertech.

I've always just ordered weathertec and been very happy. But perhaps there are better options.

Used to go weather techs but for the wife's car went with Husky Liners... been pretty happy with both. Nice thing about the Husky is that the liner goes up further up the dead pedal than the weather techs.

If its a Q50, I got brand new winter floor mats I never used since I purchased Weathertech liners instead.

As others have mentioned, Weathertech is good but sometimes it doesn't fit perfect. Mine has a flap that was moulded wrong so it doesnt sit flush to the side panelling so theres a gap. Not a big deal. I know on Amazon/Ebay/Aliexpress, you have those China sellers that sell complete coverage floor liners in fancy designs/leathers and plastic. Looked too gaudy for me to put in my car

But the Trunk Liner from Weathertech fit perfectly.

I’ve not been super impressed with the weather tech mats I got for my wife’s car. They have decent coverage but are quite hard to get in and out, and don’t clean up very easily. Not to mention the fit is not perfect.

The OEM all weather mats in my S4 are considerably better in every respect. For future cars, I’ll probably be considering OEM more than I would have previously.

I use to only buy weathertec mats but I tried some mats made by findway. I like them much better and they are not slippery when wet like the weathertecs

    +1 oem

Have you asked Infiniti for pricing on the oem rubber mats? You might be surprised on how close they are in price to after market.

    Max coverage --> Phantom/Tuxmat

Max durability --> Husky / Weather Tech (Husky is a bit better IMO).

Personally I go for coverage, but everyone has different priorities. They are also cheap enough that if they somehow wear out you can just buy another set. I also find that when detailing, the Phantom/Tuxmats easier to clean to 100%, they aren't like traditional mats that need to be scrubbed and pressure washed 2-3 times to get them looking like new, but YMMV of course.

Check your exact car too, sometimes certain mat brands fit a bit better than others so one brand may not be universally better than another.

Subscribed because I'm planning for future f150 accessories.

In our 2012 odyssey we went with a mix of husky and weather tech. Likes the texture of the weather tech better. But I'll bet things have changed in the last 8 years.

Its a QX80 I will check the dealer. and Costco. Im still trying to figure out what I need to do to fit this beast into my garage.

    Called Infiniti

For the front and 2nd row the mats are $213 incl tax
for the trunk its $230 and the mats go about half way across the folded down 3rd row seats which doesnt seem ideal.
