The latest Mercedes and BMW keys has accelerometers so if the key isn’t moving it shuts down the radio. Shuts down repeaters at home but not from your pocket when you’re out and about.
Those the display keys? I can see that since the batteries are near useless.

I think my 2016 C was still the button combo key.

No, the button keys. The current keys are 2nd gen. The first gen was terrible, half the time you wouldn’t be able to unlock your doors legitimately.

I have the second longest configuration available for an F150, second only to an extended cab with an 8' box. It does not physically fit in our garage, as the door would clip the hood.
And spikerS is currently one of those people with that much stuff in the garage I can't park in there It's a good thing I love him....

Agree on the insurance/registration bit about them being taken. I myself have had this happen, along with many other people I know. They literally get into the vehicle to get that paperwork and that's it. Everything else remains untouched.

This is the biggest issue IMO. I keep pretty much nothing in my cars/truck. Alberta has started allowing digital insurance but I'd like to be able to just have pictures of the insurance and registration slip on my phone. Not sure if that would fly with the police tho in a traffic stop. But that would at least be a step towards solving that problem. The less stuff in your vehicle, the better.

lol, one of lifes great mysteries.

Wouldn't be surprised to get the failure to produce documentation ticket tho. It's simply in our driving culture to keep the paper docs in the car all the time. Would be nice to change that. Perhaps I should take that challenge upon myself.... hahahah

More proof that it is way better to own a camel. Good on fuel and isn't easily stolen.

Cameras are beyond useless as others have mentioned.

None, unless a camel eats a horse.

    Back on topic.

This has come up and is incredible easy and cheap. Even the scum prowlers are investing $100 of their hard earned crack money into the devices. The ROI is incredible.

Did you check if you could code it via Forscan to have Autolock?
I know there's an autolock feature you can turn on where if you unlock it but never opened a door it will automatically lock after 30 or 45 seconds. Some cars have this as standard but not for the F150.
Just not sure if there is one that will automatically lock no matter what after a certain time.
That autolock only locks your doors when you drive and reach a certain speed. It does not autolock on exiting the vehicle.

On some vehicles, there is an auto lock function when it detects that the fob is no longer near or in the vehicle...key-fob.

If only cars had a security code you can input before it will start.
