Well before we bitch at this.... Calgary's ATCO also benefited from this program.

Probably not at the scale of what SNC got but I also assume that covers Quebec/Ontario. Again since China has shown in Wuhan, having these MHUs ready is not a bad idea.

My bitching is not about a contract being awarded. It is about being awarded to a company that has Trudeau in his pocket and one that gets poultry fines for breaking the law and then gets awarded contracts again right away for sums that the fines mean nothing.

I don't care where the money goes. These pork barrel deals are wrong no matter who the recipient is.

On a serious note, I do agree that it's bullshit that they are not even pretending to care about the SNC scandal. Blah blah blah all politicians lie, but don't be so fucking blatant about it

Haha! I totally missed the auto-correct on that one... Awesome catch!

And yes... It is the utter disregard for the blatantly of this and knowing how invincible they feel that infuriates me.

Not exactly know what the pledges are here's his performance vs Harper

In short, the experts found that by March of this year Trudeau's government had entirely followed through on about 50 per cent of its pledges, partially delivered on about 40 per cent and had broken roughly 10 per cent.
The researchers also created a Polimetre for Stephen Harper's last majority government that stretched from 2011 to 2015. The Harper government, they found, completely met 77 per cent of its election pledges, delivered in part on seven per cent and broke 16 per cent of their promises.
In the end, however, the researchers found the Trudeau and the last Harper government had the highest rates of follow-through on their campaign promises of any Canadian government over the last 35 years.

Now this is just them following thru what they said. Nothing about positive/negative impacts of what's done.

Without knowing the scope and contract detail, I assume SNC Lavalin PAE, the division that provide logistic support to our military may be a good candidate with a shitty name. But the fact that they only have a site picked and production of MHU only started to roll off the line 6 months after the outbreak also show they are not ready and shitty at what they are doing, so it does looks like shitty pork barrel spending.

Where ATCO probably got all the trailers ready to go at moments notice.

A lot of different balls in the air right now, that being said I don’t think Canadian conservatives are any worse off after a snap election than we are today.
I fear that Kenney and the UCP have maybe pissed off more than a few conservatives in AB and that may lead to at least a few Lib/NDP seats in AB, not that our seats count for shit anyways.

Probably pissed off conservative voters elsewhere worse. That's why I predict liberal majority if there's an election in 2021.

Meh the Edmonton cesspool already has 1 NDP MP.

I still don’t see how that really changes anything though.

I don't think I've read anything about ATCO being found guilty of some fraudulent activities in bed with the Liberal government and no longer allowed to compete for government procurement contracts.

Liberals won't read a Rex piece (and I often don't agree with him myself) but this opinion piece is pretty spot on: https://nationalpost.com/opinion/rex...JVrAMxEOKWRGzQ

I like JTs socks and disregard for personal grooming standards for leader that goes on camera everyday. These values are more important to me than actual policy. Plus he gave me free money and told me to stay home! /Lib supporters

    Read that this morning.

When Payette was appointed, for no other than gut feeling, it rubbed me the wrong way. Guess my gut was right.

It’s interesting that he has run out so many women being a feminist. Wish he could do something with our Finance minister. She even bugs my wife.

Rumor mill is working overtime on the canadian airline subgroups - latest is that trudeau, with their strange policies, is looking at bankrupting the airlines to bring in foreign competition. How the crap does that benefit liberals?
