Step 1:eject rcmp in favour of Alberta police
Step 2: stop all income tax moving to Ottawa
    Step 3: ???
Step 4: live off of cow patties and snow?

I'd sure rather be sending a couple of US senators and some congressmen to DC than sending some useless MPs to Ottawa.
I mean at this point.......not the worst option in the world, dems add Puerto rico and dc, republicans add ab/bc and try to get Yukon thrown in on the deal for a connector to Alaska?

It’s hard to see the downside.

There's a lot to unpack if you take that idea seriously. But bc voters of Chinese and South Asian descent are not going to see the upside. And that is a lot of votes.

I am not nearly as hung up on BC as some people are.

Sure, just it was included in the post you were replying to.

Legitimate separation plans are pretty complicated and fascinating.

By all means anyone can restart the reform party which means Liberals will be in power for another decade and a half due to vote split until the right merges again for Alliance Part Deux (you know, you got give the Frenchies a bone to vote for you).
Hair Trudeau will be leading anyway, so maybe it is a good time. O-tOoL isn't going to switch many votes from Liberal and neither did the last clown.
I hadn't thought of this until you said it, but I don't see this clown going away anytime soon. As embarrassing as many of us find him, the lure of rampantly irresponsible, completely unsustainable free money is viewed as > what they see as rampantly irresponsible, completely unsustainable free enterprise.

If Poilievre got a few more years under him, he would probably be better than O'Toole to go against Hair Trudeau.

A bright dog would be a better bet than Trudeau. Look how happy the US is with theirs!

You're assuming some great voter turnouts. I'm guessing the demographic you're mentioning doesn't really vote often or at all.

Hand out a FREE anything and you'll get more turnout.

    True.

    https://hongkongfp.com/2015/07/21/ma...ribing-voters/

Chao said that offering gifts and free services to voters is common in Macau. “These groups held lucky draws and gave away expensive gifts like iPhones during campaigns.”
But Chinese, especially immigrants align much better with Conservative values. That's why Richmond BC is blue in a sea of red/orange.

They are the free everything party, especially for themselves.

Indeed they are. People get too hung up on the process. It's better to see a goal, and then figure out how to get there. Nobody ever did anything interesting by getting hung up on a fear of a departure from the status quo.

It’s a good thing you don’t have to spell the guys name right when you vote
