Have you not been following the news of Portland (I think that is the city) basically decriminalizing crime?

The left is all in on giving the "poor" and "oppressed" whatever they want, including free items from theft or in this case, fraud.
Oh how terrible it will be when Portland stops throwing people into cages for doing drugs. Now how will the Nanny State keep people in line?

They can't stay in line. Everyone needs to constantly weave about because you can't make it 30 steps without squashing a steaming pile of human shit.

I was referring to the price set up. I suppose the program is considered on the whole. I haven't really looked in to the program. Another thought....sure commit to whatever. Politicians are always going back on what they say. Say what makes the liberals happy, then keep changing the target. Seems an eye for an eye kind of approach.
You were referring to the price set up, but you didn't look into what the price set up was?

Alberta would need to join a cap-and-trade market somewhere for it to work. TIER still allows quite a bit of growth in emissions, so for Alberta to be able to grow with emissions, it would need to buy credits from places that actually reduced. Having a growing carbon market wouldn't fly, and the federal backstop would kick in. The European one is a lot more of a mess than the Quebec and California one, but has had a lot more excess credits to buy for the cheap(though they're coming up to the end of a phase so they'll probably fix those issues and copy the Quebec and California one more).

Correct, I haven't looked into it. That's why I asked if we could creat something similar and be ahead. When I see thing like https://www.google.com/amp/s/nationa...fb74a3d7e/amp/

It makes me think they are getting one by on the rest of the country so to speak. But, again, I don't know the details. This isn't the only thing I've seen that makes it seem like Quebec is gettin a better deal then most.

The key is in the cap.

The desire of the carbon tax is to reduce carbon emissions. If you just cap the emissions and reduce that cap to meet those reduction goals, the price starts to become irrelevant.

Tell the O&G industry they’ve got to cut their emissions in half* by 2030 and we can get the same “deal” as Quebec. Nothing about it would be good news for Alberta.

Trudeau to Welfare Fraudsters : “don’t worry about repayments”

I mean why should he care, it’s not his money he’s burning.

Ahhh, gotcha. Makes sense that the cap is the key.

Remember that barbados trip trudeau was forced to cancel in february?

It's funny that a Canadair Challenger 600 - with ID blocked, is operating in barbados today don't you think?

USAF has a couple in afghanistan... USCG has one (just 1) kinda confused if it's operating or not - shows retired?

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck - is it a duck?

There's some of our own provincial government is Hawaii right now. At least Trudeau isn't dumb enough to post pictures on his Instagram like these two idiots.

It would be tremendous irony if JT was undone by something superficial like this.

JT will just make some heartfelt apology, probably cry, say he was wrong and nothing will happen. Like with everything else. If Harper had been caught with half the stuff JT was, Canadian MSM would've hung Harper from the clock tower years ago. Stupid socks and looking like a hobo is more important to Canadian voters. GoFundMe for JT to get a haircut and shave?

You don't believe a facebook post that's just a screenshot of Flightradar24, with no date or other info on it, and even the screenshot time and facebook post time don't align?

    Fucking lefty apologist.

I don’t think irony would be the right word for that

Aren't we all allowed to go on airplanes and vacations to wherever those planes fly to as long as we isolate and do all that bull shit when we get back?
What is making people so upset about these politicians?

Stay inside, don’t see your families, shut down all of your businesses.

Brb- Going on a tropical vacation on your tax dollars.
    It’s poor optics.

I couldn’t care less, they aren’t breaking any actual rules.

If it were actually illegal to travel for pleasure, then that would be different. If we want it to be illegal to travel for pleasure then we should pass that law.

The more interesting part will be the mental gymnastics involved when a left leaning politician does it after the stink the media has made about conservatives.

Mental gymnastics, short memories, all ends us at the start of the loop I suppose

April seems like so long ago when we were making a stink about politicians traveling:

Rex Murphy Opinion on all this:

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/rex...-this-together

No Christmas vacation for thee. Grab the swimsuits and call the limo for me. Why do we listen to these politicians?

Lockdown for thee. No lockdown for me.

No Christmas vacation for thee. Grab the swimsuits and call the limo for me.

    What is going on?

Why do we listen to them?

Why do we sit under the rain of their incessant, sanctimonious spiels about flattening curves and slowing the virus and caring for “your fellow citizens,” while they jet off to sunshine, beaches and island resorts for “vacations they had planned?”
Makes a good point, you can’t come to the podiums and keep saying our ICUs are full, our hospitals are overcapacity and staff are exhausted while jetting off to fun and sun. You lose all credibility and people will not trust you or follow the rules you put in place. This is not leadership.
