Ironically, I presume the person to go into that seat will be worse.

No, they'll spend more freely, which is better for Justin. That's all this is about.

The last semblance of fiscal restraint - gone from this country. It might as well be bozo the clown as minister next.

New pet Trudeau environmental projects coming, although I do think we could some serious solar + tesla battery systems here too (like Cali). Blanket the southern prairies with solar panels.

Williams says it’s “tricky” to appoint a cabinet minister who hasn’t been elected to Parliament, but it has happened before.
    Oh I'm sure he'll manage.

He was being set up to resign, you could see it from a mile away given the "news" cycle.

In the fall, you'll get some more fiscal stimulus announcements and an election soon thereafter. Conservatives are nowhere to be found and the NDP might end up bankrupt by then. Liberal majority.

I'm thinking that he is leaving before the public gets wise to the even bigger scandals these two muppets pulled off.

So which crook do we expect him to be replaced with?

Liberals think that increasing the size of gov't will results in a more fair society. They have always been, and always will be, wrong. Gov't is the agent by which elites concentrate wealth away from the workers and the productive classes.

The only way to ensure wealth is distributed more fairly is to shrink the gov't and remove power from the best tool that rent-seekers have at their disposal.

There is going to be a tell all book in about 5 years or maybe when they get criminally indicted - somehow. Enough of this stupid ethics BS, it means nothing to the elite.

There have been a few. Ralph Klein. Ronald Reagan (kinda). Paul Martin, a bit. Harper was, but probably couldn't act on it effectively and didn't seem to have an opportunity to put his gov't/economic ideologies into play.

Sweden must have a few, considering their shift in the last 20 years or so.

    Thatcher?

I’ll correct you on that one. Liberal voters think more government leads to a more fair society. Liberal voters are idiots.

Liberals, the politicians, know that more government means more power for them and more control they can exert over people’s day to day lives. There is no crossover between the values of Liberal voters and Liberal politicians, it’s actually quite comical.

I always love the mental gymnastics of the Liberal voter when they try and argue that the Liberals are the party for less oppression. Hilarious.
