I still don't understand what happened to the good old days of assassinating politicians.
It's a nuanced problem. The people that realize something like this should happen and still have the means to execute, still have their job and their family, and some semblance of a life. So they're not going to risk the jail time to do the right thing. By the time things are bad enough that you've lost your job, your family has fallen apart, you're homeless, etc. You no longer have the means to execute now that you have nothing to lose.

Plus in our case, it would require some planning and a bit of a team. Because the whole thing is 2 pronged approach. You can't take out JT without also simultaneously getting CF at the same time. You can't risk her taking the reigns from JT in his absence, and you have to take her out before security gets exponentially ramped up after the JT incident.

    There was a confidence vote.

The liberals passed with unanimous support of the NDP and the Bloc.

    This isn’t rocket appliances

    Canadians elected him numerous times.

O'Leary: it's the populace that is incompetent.

The context was not obvious, being someone who just saw a few wildly exaggerated headlines. Instead of news treating this like the nothingburger it is, they pitched it as if motion is passed and there is actually going to be a non confidence vote. So no wonder nobody could offer anything resembling an answer, because what I was asking didn't make any rational sense based on the actual true details here.
Tell me that you are a headline reader (and don’t understand how parliament remotely works) without telling me.

    CBC:
“ Poilievre wants to topple the Liberal government with a non-confidence motion on the carbon tax”

    The byline:
“The parliamentary manoeuvre is likely to fail”
