its pretty clear they need stricter consequences for politicians. Why can they get caught stealing and then all they need to do is step down and all good.
They should have to repay with interest, fired, and some jail time. This would probably curb most of this low level corruption.

Jail time won't be a deterrent, they'll just hire lawyers with our tax dollars to reduce the sentence.

I say we cut off their hands.

I know we get a hard on for the pensions, but I doubt many MP’s give two shits about them. The real money is in the corruption and post office appointments.

Isn't it pretty standard to employ family when you are a politician? That's less slimy than getting someone else to do it in exchange for large government contracts. I think?
You get somebody else to hire your family, in exchange for hiring their family. Need the separation to pretend it's merit driven.

    Cronyism 101.

I thought they just hired the relatives of the people who worked across the hall.

Somehow I figured the parlimentary HR office would keep an eye on this. Quelle surprise...

It's strange that other newspapers/media haven't seemed to pick up this story.

Are Editors now on their knees ready to suck more funding from the Liberals/NDP or are the facts on this just not clear enough to be reported by others yet?

What are the Cons saying, if anything about this? If you see the more vocal members (eg. Polievre) who love theater/grand standing - they would be all over this as it allows more good sound bites from them slamming the 'dictator'.

If not then the story is not credible (enough).

the post millennial generally has their stories based at least on a sliver of facts, which are then often contorted and exaggerated a great deal. At least better than the rebel because of that fact existing on some level at a point in time.

Yea its definitely shady but perfectly in line with what the liberals do all the time. Its getting to be as bad as Washington DC in Ottawa now - no one can do no wrong anymore - or if they do, no one will run with the story on repeat (maybe rebel).

So the deficit is larger than the entire federal government revenue from 2019
