IMO this scratches an itch that most people scratch with aftermarket parts. For a lot of guys in the demographic this market is targeting, a lift/level with 35's is done before it leaves the dealer. Now dodge gets a piece of that action. The bonus is the monstrous engine. In general its a niche market but i think in that market, its going to be the leader of the pack for a bit.

If this thing came out when the O&G industry was booming, every oil worker and their mom will be riding around in one of these.

That Jurassic Park intro, although it hurt to see, was brilliant! Truck looks amazing, and its not too far off from the concept. 700HP is great and all, and it definitely means Ford needs to bump the Raptor to compete, but does it handle the terrain like a Raptor? All i read was Bilstein shocks, nothing about the R&D, or what the system actually is.

Ideally, Ford should continue to offer the 3.5HO Raptor with a slight increase, and then a trim level more in the price range of the TRX, but with a blown V8. The fact that you can get the Raptor motor in a Limited means they should have a new motor for the Raptor either standard, or as an option. Curious, would the Vodoo be a good motor to base off for the Raptor?

The most dodge accurate part of the video is when the wheels came off when they jumped it at the 20 minute mark.

    LMAO!

Just the wheels though? The entire car fell apart, real life simulation.

the TRX is cool, but not $110k cool.
If it comes in at $110k optioned out here that will be surprising as Trackhawk base MSRP is $120K in Canada.

Payload doesn't matter anyway. How much does a case of natty light and a fat tattooed girlfriend weigh anyway?

If I could afford a pavement princess with a bed and excess hp then this RAM would be it.

well, the TRX has thrown down the gauntlet and has pretty much obliterated the Raptor in every way. Well, except in probably fuel economy and fuel octane requirements lol. Pretty impressive. If I had the bank, I would probably consider it. Well, and if it had a higher towing capacity as well.

Thats a sweet truck no doubt but Im not surprised it killed a 5 year old(design wise) raptor. The interior is still by the nicest though even compared to the 21 f150.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Big question is, will this help push a V8 back into the Raptor?

I really don't believe so. They went as far as to put the 6 cylinder ecoboost into the GT. They are pretty dedicated to that platform.

The question is, do they need to top them in this segment? I don't really feel like they do.
