Excess calcium in the diet will cause them, incase you're supplementing with it or are taking a ton of vitamin D

Sorry to hear that Buster. Sounds brutal.
My girlfriends father got called in for a Kidney transplant last week. Ive been in and out of hospital with the girlfriend and mother. On a positive, its allowed me to cook them my delicious signature lamb curry and with a secondary dish of lentils. That way they can focus on dad.

Buster, if the pain gets too much and you need help. I would be more than happy to drive you around in your car. No trouble at all. Just reach out.
Just kidding. On a serious note. Goodluck and hope you feel better.
haha. You know I sold the GT right?

I’ve had them too. I remember crawling on the floor in pain. Drink lots of water. 3.5L a day. They won’t come back.

    He's a true friend indeed.

This sounds painful. Best wishes and a quick recovery to your penis and kidney.

I had a kidney stone a few years ago. As a pain reference point, I've had a spinal lumbar fusion surgery with rods/screws and the pain from that was less than the pain from the kidney stone. I had to call 911 as I was pretty sure I was dying.

I had to get the surgery which was fine. The bad part was having to remove the stent on my own at home.

Here is what mine looked like after it was out. Those tiles are 1ft x 1ft. Pay attention to the pig tails on the end.

I hope you don't need the surgery dude.

    It’s not the beef.

    Most likely not hydrated enough.

Diet does help though, stay away from protein powders.

Calgary is notorious for hard water. So filtered water with real lemon juice to break down calcium in your kidneys.

Usually the 2nd, 3rd and so on are not as bad. Almost like the body recognizes it and doesn’t react the same.

Water & lemon juice though, it’s key.
The urologist who did my surgery told me that taking calcium CITRATE (not regular calcium pills) also helps prevent the formation of them. Probably similar to to the lemon juice.

In some cases some people need more calcium, as it is needed to bond to the calcium in the kidneys to help if flush out.

    Mine were purely dehydration.

Ouch... i really dread getting one of these.

So basically at this point they just gave you some pain killers and now you wait until it passes on its own? At what point do they determine it won't pass on its own and decide you need it surgically removed?

Fuck if I know. I'm feeling almost back to normal now...but I'm worried there's some calcified rocks somewhere in my belly waiting to make life hell again.

That’s why I’m surprised the doctor didn’t take a CT scan.

I have a friend who lost his kidney because of a botched kidney stone removal.

At least it would tell you if you have more stones still lodged in your kidney or where the current stone resides.

You will know if it gets stuck though as you will feel the urge to piss constantly but won’t be able to.

That’s when you get your ass to emergency.

As for the stent Pacman had, not everyone requires one. Usually they put a stent in when the ureter is scored or the opening has been compromised.

I didn’t require one, thank god.
