    Playing in Winsport

    They're doing a Fall Mini-League September 8th - October 30th

11 players per team (10 players, 1 Goalie & No subs allowed)

    5 on 5
    4 teams per division
7 games with one playoff elimination game
    no face-offs
    What division are you in?

bahaha I totally forgot about that guy.

Also, Winsport is doing a Fall Mini-League. Believe 11 person teams, 4 team league.
Jumping on my dad's team to at least get back on the ice. His was the team that had the original COVID19 scare back in March which shut down the league.
I happened to be subbing that game too....everyone else on the team came back negative.
Our very last game wasn’t it? Matty, what’s roster limit in your dads league? Come play shinny with Caleb & I.

I wonder how many divisions there are going to be.

We opt'ed out of Summer and will also opt out of Winter. Most of us got kids in the household so it's definitely not worth the risk. Not to mention 4 teams per division is pretty boring.

Same. We were usually E or E2 in ASHL and we're sitting out for winter.

Couple games into the Winsport League and I must say, it is an intense workout. (especially being off the ice for the last 6 months)
Only two lines (max roster of 11).....no whistles/faceoffs....so there are no breaks. Thankfully the ice times are only an hour.

Winsport does seem a little overkill, mandatory online health questionnaire 2 hours prior to the game, no faceoffs (which I don't entirely understand).

But, with all that being said, I feel safe playing in that league. Hand sanitizer everywhere, social distancing on the bench and in the rooms, masks required to enter/exit.

Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with everything above, the hockey has not been chippy at all. Couple good games so far, no excessive stick work, arguing, complaining etc.

I'd be getting my money back if my league was doing that.

ASHL has been great. The two lines thing is a bit rough being off skates so long but normal rules, face-offs etc.

    It's awesome to be back

Your entire team just has to clear the red line, other team can fish it out of their net right away though, so can't celebrate a goal really.
