Ok, nothing like a crisp ride in the morning for what is basically the start of the fall season.
@bigboom and I will be hitting up Razor's Edge (loop) early on Saturday Morning (August 29, 2020). I know there are a few guys on Beyond looking for riding buddies.
Loop Details:
- 11.3 km
- 700m climb and descend
- Expected 2 hour elapsed loop time
Details:
0. We will start riding at 8am sharp.
1. Meet at the bottom of Quaite Creek HERE
2. Everyone should drive themselves to:
- Support Alberta O&G and coal
- Social Distance
- Plus I don't know any of you fuckers
3. I want this to be a no drop ride, but some of us need to get back to Calgary before noon. That being said, I am ok with you guys dropping me. lol. We will keep a decent pace to see if we can complete the loop in about 2 hours. Trail forks says that there is 700m of climbing. My guess is that it will take about 1:20-1:30 to get up and about 40 minutes to get down.
4. This is considered a double black trail on the way down. Consider this. I have no shame in walking down features. Review this before you decide to come.
5. Please be sure your bike is in tip top mechanical condition. Make sure you have lots of brake pad material left for the way down.
6. Bring tools and Water. I'll have a 27.5 tube (irony is I'll be riding a 29er), tire pump, CO2, shock pump, pack pliers, and a granola bar. I have an EDC tool, quick links for both Eagle and Shimano 12 speed.
